Thanks Audi for the false hope.

Now going through Ads of the world last minute on a Sunday night, because as usual I forgot I had a blog, I came across this advertisement for the new Audi R8 spyder produced by Lowe Roche. This is luxury sport care that is well over 100,000 dollars. Now in the advertisement, it shows a picture of the car, and only has one line of copy slammed across the billboard, "Stay in school". Now on adsoftheworld.com  this billboard ad had very high ratings from the viewers, but I disagree. I do not think this idea is that clever, and on top of it, I get two different messages. The first being, if i stay in school then I will be making enough money to have anything I can pretty much dream of, which we all know in reality this is not true and most kids and teens are smart enough to know this. The second message i got from this made me think of stay in school campaigns used by the Board of Education, and made me think that this ad may have not even been for Audi, but just an almost "bait and switch" campaign, but a very poor one. So all in all, I have seen car advertisements before, and this one is defiantly missing the mechanics of a great advertisement.
